Fairfield County Ct. ~ 2017 Home Prices Up 15 Out of 23 Towns.

Data collected from the local Multiple Listing Services (MLS) in Fairfield County shows that both units sold and average price paid for single family homes in Fairfield County are up in 2017 when compared to 2016.

Average single family home sale prices have risen when compared to 2016 in 15 out of the 23 towns. The six towns with the highest increase in average sale price in 2017 vs 2016 are:-

  • Sherman          42.5%
  • Greenwich       17.1%
  • Bridgeport       13.0%
  • Brookfield       8.2%
  • Trumbull         7.5%
  • Danbury          7.5%

 

Along with an increase of average price sold, 15 out 23 towns have reported more units sold as well with the top six being :-  

  • New Canaan    35.9%
  • Easton             21.6%
  • Westport         19.0%
  • Danbury          16.8%
  • Sherman          16.1%
  • Darien             15.0%

 

The towns with the highest average sale price for 2017 are:

  • Greenwich - $2,579,696
  • New Canaan - $1,758,220
  • Darien - $1,706,371
  • Westport - $1,528,113
  • Rowayton (Norwalk) - $1,356,154
